The Middle East has seen a quick rise in data protection legislation with the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman recently issuing independent data protection laws. In the most recent regional development, the Kingdom of Bahrain has issued new guidelines on Personal Data Protection Law. The Kingdom of Bahrain has issued new guidelines to address the aspects of its Personal Data Protection Law. It focuses on personal data transfers outside Bahrain, technical and organizational measures to safeguard personal data, notification techniques, sensitive personal data handling, guardians of data protection (i.e. DPOs), DPO registration fees, Privileges of data subject rights, complaints by people, data connected with criminal claims, and conditions for publicly accessible registers. This edition of Court Uncourt discusses Property Regulations in Qatar. Qatar is currently going through a major construction boom. Construction is in progress to build new stadia, re-develop the roads, build a railway system as well as new shopping malls, public open spaces, and tourist attractions spots like museums, galleries etc. The law provides a framework for the protection of purchasers of Off- Plan Units and to ensure the sale of Off-Plan Units for the construction of the project.
