The Artificial Intelligence (AI) revolution has fundamentally changed the ways people collect and process data, as well as transformed business operations across different industries.
The latest AI tool, ChatGPT, has taken the world by storm, reaching 100 million users just two months after its launch in November 2022. The credit goes to Geoffrey Hinton, a legendary computer scientist whose relentless pursuit of AI breakthroughs is the reason for such a revolutionized tech landscape. No wonder that these remarkable achievements in the tech field earned this BritishCanadian tech wizard the title ‘The Godfather of AI’.
Coming from a family of scientists, Geoffrey Hinton was born in Wimbledon on 6 December 1947. Educated at King’s College, Cambridge, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Experimental Psychology, and later, was awarded a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Edinburgh.
