- CHRIS MORLEY

Fantastic FOLIAGE

Peaceful scene

It may be obvious, but green is the most vital colour in a garden. Not only is it the one we see most easily – perhaps that’s why it makes us feel relaxed – but it's also a rich palette in which to paint your garden. So, if you’re seeking a lush yet low-maintenance space, make foliage the star.

A backbone of evergreen leaves gives colour and interest across 12 months. Introduce them high and low for privacy and cohesion. Mid-layer stalwarts include Fatsia japonica
