Around 2,600 customers in the BS4 and BS14 areas initially lost supply on Friday morning.

And while the impacted main on Hawkfield Road was repaired on Saturday, a second leak was then discovered during the recharging process, requiring complex excavation work to remedy the problem.

A bottled water station was set up in Hengrove Way.
