Kudroli Jamia Masjid to host first-ever public visit on Sept 14

IN a historic initiative to foster interfaith understanding, the Kudroli Jamia Masjid will open its doors to people of all religions on Sunday (September 14) from 10.30 am to 7 pm as part of a unique programme titled 'Masjid Darshan'.

The event is organised by the Jamia Masjid Kudroli Management Board, Muslim Unity Forum Kudroli, and Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Mangaluru. "The reason for the initiative being the fact that although Islam has been in India for over a thousand years, the Quran, mosques, prayers, and Islamic customs remain unfamiliar to many outside the community. This lack of exposure has led to misconceptions and curiosity. To address these issues, the Kudroli Jamia Masjid has decided to open its premises for the first time to the public, offering a transparent look into the practices and meaning of a mosque.
