Kudroli Jamia Masjid to host first-ever public visit on Sept 14

IN a historic initiative to foster interfaith understanding, the Kudroli Jamia Masjid will open its doors to people of all religions on Sunday (September 14) from 10.30 am to 7 pm as part of a unique programme titled 'Masjid Darshan'.

The event is organised by the Jamia Masjid Kudroli Management Board, Muslim Unity Forum Kudroli, and Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Mangaluru. "The reason for the initiative being the fact that although Islam has been in India for over a thousand years, the Quran, mosques, prayers, and Islamic customs remain unfamiliar to many outside the community. This lack of exposure has led to misconceptions and curiosity.
