DRILL TEAM WIN GOLD AT HMS RALEIGH
-
THE Princess Royal presented the Torpoint Sea Cadets Continuity Drill Team with gold medals when they won the Sea Cadet National Drill Competition held at HMS Raleigh.
The team of eight cadets from Torpoint Sea Cadet Unit went head-to-head with teams from across the UK after winning the county and regional finals earlier this year, performing an eight-minute choreographed drill display to music with over 400 movements from memory.
Their display was assessed by drill judges in accordance with the Royal Navy’s ceremonial regulations, which was set to military music, including pieces such as Colonel Bogey, The Stars and Stripes Forever and Clash of the Dreadnoughts.
