RAHUL Randev stroked his second Premier ton of the season for Plymouth as the city side moved up to third in the Premier Division with an 86-run win over lowly North Devon.

- By CONRAD SUTCLIFFE Cricket correspondent

Randev, who already has a ton against Exeter to his name, made exactly 100 in Plymouth's total of 279 for six.

Ethan Guest (2-39) and Matt Whalley (4-44) then send bottom side North Devon tumbling to 193 all out.

Victory took Plymouth ahead of Exmouth, whose four-wicket loss at Heathcoat cost them third spot.

Opener Randev was third out with the score on 214 having put on 164 for the second wicket with Teddy Haffenden (62).

Mekyle Pillay (34) and Hal Kerton (21) kept the board clicking over in the final 10 overs.

Once Josh Atkinson (0-26 off 8) was withdrawn from the North Devon attack, keeping the runs down was an issue at times. Roshan Lakmal (3-49) fared better than most.

North Devon were soon under the pump at 35 for three after an early probing from Guest.

Lakmal (72) and Jack Whittaker (28) rescued North Devon's situation with a stand of 59 for the fourth wicket, which James Tyson (14) continued after Whalley spun out Whittaker.
