Anti-social behaviour is 'rife' on the Barbican

Southside Street on the Barbican - a petition with 1,000 names has been handed in to the council about anti social behaviour in the area

(William Telford)

Cllr Alison Raynsford (Lab, St Peter and the Waterfront) presented the petition to cabinet member for transport Cllr John Stephens (Lab, Plymstock Dunstone) during a full council meeting which she said had been organised by the businesses in Southside Street.

Motorcyclists gathering en-masse and revving engines is one of the issues that have got traders and residents irate but inconsiderate parking and speeding are also causing havoc in that area.
