Scotland is hotter than Hawaii on warmest day of the year
SWELTERING Scotland was hotter than tropical Hawaii yesterday recording the warmest day of the year.
Aviemore in the Highlands was the hottest spot in the country at a roasting 32.2C (90F) toastier than Honolulu which was 30C (86F).
Four other areas, Achnagart and Kinlochewe in Ross and Cromarty, Dundreggan in Invernessshire and Aboyne in Aberdeenshire were all over 30C.
