Buckle up for another Reds rollercoaster

FOOTBALL folk love comparing games, seasons or even careers to having more ups and downs than a rollercoaster ride.

Buckle up for another Reds rollercoaster

A few would use the old line to describe Aberdeen last term. But if the Dons’ madcap campaign was a rollercoaster it would be a straightforward one.

It had the rapid rise to start, a dip, then finished on an incredible high.

Yet pretty much every Dandy would be right back in the queue for another shot this season.

Except this time around it's unlikely to be just a Big Dipper. This one really could have more ups and downs than a day out at Alton Towers.

It's difficult to figure out Aberdeen right now.

Last year Jimmy Thelin got off to that incredible start that had us pondering whether they could mount a title push.

Four months later and there was more chance of being dragged into a relegation battle. You could argue the incredible start was a bit of a Reds herring given some of these sneaked wins.
