Haul... the cocaine was intercepted on its way to Scotland
A BULGARIAN truck driver has been charged after a near £20million haul of cocaine was discovered in a trailer heading to Scotland.
It is believed the 185kg seizure is the largest Class A drugs seizure in Northern Ireland in recent years.
Border Agency staff at the Port of Belfast made the find on Monday.
The HGV had been booked on a ferry to Cairnryan, Wigtownshire.
Yesterday, the National Crime Agency announced that lorry driver Georgi Markov Panchukov had been charged with drug smuggling.
A spokesman for the agency said four sophisticated concealments were found running the length of the trailer.
