A NATIONWIDE review into maternity services in Scotland will go ahead after yet another U-turn from the Scottish Government.
Ministers changed their mind less than 24 hours after Health Secretary Neil Gray failed to commit to one.
Earlier this week, he told MSPs such a probe would take place only if Scotland’s new Maternity and Neonatal Taskforce recommends it.
Then yesterday, public health minister Jenni Minto announced a national investigation into the design and delivery of
matemity services. Labour welcomed the change but said it came just a day after SNP MSPs voted against the party's calls for a national inquiry.
