Kate brings everyone together at Christmas
Scottish Daily Express
|December 06, 2025
THE Princess of Wales brought joy to the world with her annual carol concert which she revealed has become a favourite Christmas tradition for her children.
Wearing a holly-green coat for the service at Westminster Abbey yesterday, Catherine led the Together at Christmas theme by arriving early to have plenty of time to chat with her guests.
She told Bastille singer Dan Smith, who was invited to perform at the event, that Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and seven-year-old Prince Louis, seven, were "really excited...[the service] has become such a tradition".
And when the youngsters later arrived with dad Prince William, she joined them at a “Connection Tree” where they added their names to a paper chain symbolising togetherness.
Catherine's own parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, added to the family fun as they joined the royals at the event.
It was the first time the Wales family had been seen together in public since their appearance at Trooping the Colour in June.Catherine thanked performers including singers Katie Melua, Griff, and Fisherman's Friends for taking the time to join the occasion.
Inside the Abbey she greeted guests including Hollywood stars Kate Winslet and Chiwetel Ejiofor, who gave readings during the service, and baking legend Mary Berry, who said it was “a real treat” to be there.
