All-time greatest skincare revealed
Scottish Daily Express
|October 09, 2025
I've been in the beauty industry for over 15 years, and in that time have tested thousands of lotions and potions from the most expensive brands to the best bargains around. Price, you see, isn't always an indicator of efficacy.

With the right skincare, I truly believe you don't need Botox. There are some magic formulas to be found and with that in mind, I thought it was high time I shared my own routine with you, along with my favourite skincare products of all time.
Best... LIP BALM
La Mer The Lip Balm, £65, cremede lamer.co.uk
OK, so I'm aware £65 is a lot of money for a lip balm... but this being the best is a hill I am prepared to die on. Thick, waxy, long-lasting and incredibly nourishing, nothing feels as good as this does on the lips. What's more, a little goes a long way and it lasts.
Runner up: Laneige Glowy Lip Balm, £16, Sephora
Best... EXFOLIANT
■Pixi Glow Tonic, from £10, lookfantastic.com
This AHA liquid exfoliant has spawned so many dupes, yet remains the best in the biz. It contains glycolic acid, which gently dissolves dulling dead skin cells and reveals some much-needed radiance. I sweep it across my face after cleansing three times a week.
Runner up: Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant, from £13, cultbeauty.co.uk
Best... EYE CREAM
