Earlier this week, Congressman Dwight Evans, representatives from the School District of Philadelphia, and leaders from The Food Trust gathered with local parents and caregivers to discuss the recent defunding of the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program-Education (SNAP-Ed) and its potential impact on the health of Pennsylvania residents.

Following the press conference, a class of first-grade students at Andrew Hamilton Elementary School in West Philadelphia participated in a nutrition lesson, demonstrating the positive effects of SNAP-Ed programming.
