"In November 2023 my mum came up from the south to stay with me as she was not feeling well.
"It transpired that she had cancer and she died a month later.
"She spent her final four weeks at my home but during the last 10 days we were magnificently supported by East Cheshire Hospice’s ‘Hospice at Home’ and I don’t think I could have managed without their help.
"They visited at least twice a day to help with her personal carethey do an amazing job.
"I was so excited when Liz said she wanted to take on the 72-Hole Challenge for the charity - and there is no record of any lady taking on the challenge at Prestbury before.
"I have been overwhelmed by the amount of money she has raisedI was expecting around £1,500-£2,000."
