Teacher who preyed on pupil 'has no place at school'

A TEACHER who was caught on CCTV kissing a “particularly vulnerable” pupil at a Ramsgate school has been banned from the classroom for life.

Lee Fountain, 46, who began working at Chatham and Clarendon Grammar School in Ramsgate as an English teacher in 2007, admitted at a teacher misconduct hearing that in October 2022 he had kissed the pupil in a classroom at the school, and put his arm around her.
Nine days later, he accepted a police caution for sexual activity with a female aged 13 to 17.
A report from the Teaching Regulation Agency noted that he admitted his conduct was sexually motivated.
