Lifeguards back on duty as swimming season starts

RNLI lifeguards have returned to Thanet's main beaches, and are now in attendance every day at Margate Main Sands, Botany Bay, Viking Bay and Joss Bay in Broadstairs.

Lifeguards will be on duty over weekends and bank holidays at Minnis Bay, Westbrook Bay, Ramsgate Main and Stone Bay, until July 19. From July 19, they will be on duty at these beaches every day between 10am and 6pm until September 7.
St Mildred's and West Bay beaches in Westgate-on-Sea will also have RNLI lifeguards full-time from Saturday, July 19.
