A tremendous second half display from Hull City saw the inform Tigers heap more pressure on Liam Manning with a 2-0 success at Norwich City.

- By BARRY COOPER

A goal each from Joe Gelhardt and Darko Gyabi’s first Tigers goal sealed a fourth win during what is now a six-game unbeaten run for City.

After a poor first half, which saw the hosts carve out some fine chances, Sergej Jakirovic’s men improved drastically in the second period, helped by a change in shape, the arrival of Semi Ajayi and Gelhardt’s strike just four minutes into it.

Goals, goals, goals

Another two goals into the goals for column sees City ranked as the Championship’s second top scorers with their 22, albeit a long way behind Coventry City's 36.

City only mustered a fairly pathetic 44 in the entirety of last season, and after just 13 games, they're halfway there already. Gelhardt’s fourth goal in four games also sees him move onto six goals, matching Oli McBurnie, who has also scored six, and matching Joao Pedro's total from last term, which he ended as the leading marksman.

Ending the curse
