A NUMBER of improvements are set to be carried out on the A52 near Skegness to make the road safer for motorists.

- BY LAYCIE BECK laycie.beck@reachplc.com

A stretch of the busy road between the seaside town and Wainfleet will be improved following an extensive investigation by council officials and the Lin-colnshire Road Safety Partnership.

An average speed enforcement system will be installed, which is hoped to affect overall driver behaviour by reducing the possibility of overtaking and cutting speeding on the route.

All of the existing vehicle-acti-vated safety signs will be repaired or replaced, and solar-powered LED road studs will be added to better define the road.
