FERRARI held their hands up over two catastrophic gaffes that saw Lewis Hamilton disqualified hours after the Chinese Grand Prix along with team-mate Charles Leclerc.

Oscar Piastri won from Lando Norris in Shanghai as McLaren cemented their status as the team to beat this year.

But blundering Ferrari did nothing to boost their reputation as both their cars failed post-race checks.

Leclerc finished fifth but his car was one kilogram underweight, as was the Alpine of Pierre Gasly in 11th, while sixth-placed Hamilton's ride height was found to be too low.
