Young talent may by sold, concedes Wrexham’s CEO

WREXHAM CEO Michael Williamson admits he will soon have to discuss selling young talent with the club’s owners.
‘The Red Dragons have achieved unprecedented success with three consecutive promotions since being bought by Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney in February 2021.
Some of Wrexham’s younger players have been involved every step of the way on the club’s rise from the National League to the Championship.
Centre-back Max Cleworth, 23, and wing-back Ryan Barnett, 25, were in the match-day squad for Phil Parkinson’s side’s final match in non-league football as they drew 1-1 with Torquay United in April 2023.
And both were in the starting lineup for Wrexham’s first game in the second tier for 43 years as they suffered a late 2-1 defeat at Southampton on Saturday.
