While Fallen Angel can star in the Group One BetMGM Sun Chariot Stakes (Fillies & Mares) (2.40pm) at Newmarket this afternoon.

Fillies - many of them three-year-olds - have a fine record in the autumn middle-distance championship contest and having been supplemented earlier this week, Minnie Hauk can give Aidan O'Brien a third victory in the Arc following Dylan Thomas (2007) and four-year-old filly Found (2016).

The daughter of Frankel has won five of her six career starts and has landed four ‘Oaks’ victories in her past four starts.

Having made a winning return to action when landing the Cheshire Oaks at Chester's May meeting, she grabbed a first Group one success when she held off talented stablemate Whirl in the Betfred Oaks at Epsom in June.

Minnie Hauk landed a second Classic when following up in the Irish Oaks at the Curragh the following month, marking her out as the top middle-distance three-year-old filly. She was even better when comfortably beating Estrange in the Yorkshire Oaks at York’s Ebor Festival in August and looks both talented and versatile.

She has a smart cruising speed and finishing kick which could be key when she takes on the boys and her elders in Paris.

Despite already having last year's Irish Derby and this season’s Tattersalls Gold Cup hero Los Angeles entered, the Irish maestro added Minnie Hauk to the field.

Getting both an age and sex allowance, Minnie Hauk makes plenty of appeal to land a fourth straight Group One win of the season.
