FORMER Everton star Pat Nevin believes James Garner should ignore interest from elsewhere as he moves closer to a new Everton deal.

The midfielder is enjoying a stellar season at the heart of David Moyes' plans, the 24-year-old having become one of his boss' most trusted players after maintaining a high level throughout the campaign.
Those performances have supported Moyes' calls for Garner to earn a senior England call-up to gather momentum.
His impressive display in the win over Aston Villa on Sunday came with international manager Thomas Tuchel watching from the stands.
His form has also, predictably, led to clubs said to include Manchester United, whose academy he rose through now tracking his progress.
Much of that interest has been speculative, however, with an imminent departure having been unlikely given Garner's contract situation.
