OASIS played at Newcastle Arena on September 17, 1997 - but the real rock ‘n’ roll was across town at St James’ Park.
In the club's first ever Champions League tie, Toon striker Faustino Asprilla (right) scored three goals - two from stunning headers — in the first 49 minutes against mighty Barcelona.
