Somaliland recognition key to tackling Houthis

DAVID Cameron has been holding talks about the UK seizing a historic opportunity to help tackle the Red Sea crisis.
The discussions come as the Government faces pressure to end a 33-year diplomatic impasse and recognise the state of Somaliland, a former British protectorate claimed by neighbouring Somalia.
The Daily Express has learnt the Foreign Secretary sat down with former Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson as Iran-backed Houthi terrorists intensified their attacks in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden which is next to both the Red Sea and Somaliland.
