Man taken to hospital in a taxi dies after waiting hours for ambulance

A CORONER has sounded a warning over a man who had a fatal heart attack after he was taken to hospital in a taxi because no ambulances were available.
Guy Davies said Andrew Waters was denied the chance of lifesaving care and died as a result of "systemic failures".
An inquest was told Mr Waters, 56, of Indian Queens, Cornwall, waited hours for an ambulance before South Western Ambulance Service Trust ordered a cab.
