I started new career as a model at age 70

A RETIRED civil servant has begun a career as a fashion model at 70.
Anne Flanagan said she felt "absorbed" by family and professional life and always thought of herself as a serious person.
But after a chance meeting with a photographer she was quickly snapped up by a modelling agency, a clothing brand and a shopping centre fashion show.
She now gets recognised and other pensioners have told her she's "empowering women over 70".
Anne, from Belfast, said: "I've never modelled anything - even so much as a scarf in my life. The photos taken of me give me a boost.
