Ramsay insists Albion taking steps forward

Eric Ramsay applauds the fans after Albion's defeat at Norwich

The Baggies lost 3-1 with a much-changed side and can now focus on survival in the Championship.

They face a crunch spell with two home games coming up against Coventry City on Saturday and Charlton Athletic in midweek, followed by a trip to Oxford United the following Saturday.

Speaking after the defeat at Carrow Road, head coach Ramsay explained: “We came here with multiple objectives. We wanted to win and we wanted to be competitive, but I also wanted to look across the group after the game, irrespective of the outcome, and feel like we were in a better place after the 90 minutes. Ultimately, I firmly believe that’s the case.

“So, as we move into next week, which is a week which tees up a really important week in the season, we are better for this game and there were a number of objectives that we were able to hit that I’m really pleased about.
