PP member keeps MP status after S112 verdict upheld

Chonthicha Jangrew avoided being stripped of her MP status after the Appeal Court granted her bail in a lese majeste case yesterday.
Chonthicha: Court grants bail
The Pathum Thani MP of the main opposition People’s Party (PP) was granted bail after the court upheld her conviction over a rally and protest speech made in 2021.
The Thanyaburi Provincial Court read the verdict of the Appeal Court Region 1 in the lese majeste case under Section 112 of the Criminal Code against Ms Chonthicha.
