MANY hotels that have sprung up around Rishikesh, the jewel at the foothills of the Himalayas, make the promise of peace. The yoga and meditation capital of the world draws people from all over the world, offering a jamboree of spirituality, solace, and excitement.
Heading north of the city, away from the melee of ashrams and shops along the Ganges river bank, camps and hotels have sprung up by the dozens. These have another spirit altogether — of adventure with white water rafting, canoeing, even bungee jumping, music with loud laughter and dancing at nights. But Justa Rasa is different. Smaller than the other luxury properties, it gives a sense of intimacy, and thoughtfulness, a feeling of belonging. Reaching this nugget belonging to the Justa group, which has more than 20 properties across the country, is part of the discovery.
