In today’s society, women have achieved a very active role in all fields. Women being the key to sustainable development and quality of life represent as an epitome of love, strength and courage. Women play an important role in human progress. They are the prime caretakers of the family. They support household and community for achieving food and nutrition security, creating income, improving livelihoods and overall well-being. In Indian culture, women are considered as goddess since ancient times. Chaos of the world has made women to suffer from stress over a long period in recent times. When chronic or excessive stress persists, when it’s hard to cope and adapt, busy schedule or working women not able to balance work and family. Yes, it of course affects the mental and physical health of women. Manifestation of stress in women shows symptoms of headache, lack of energy, stomach upset, sleep difficulties, anxiety, depression, mood swings, frustration, obesity, menstrual problems, pregnancy issues and other nerve disorders.

How to promote mental health in women?

Mental health can be improved in women  at two levels - personal level and public level
