The University, which is celebrating its silver jubilee this year, was placed in the cohort of 801-1000 in 2022. The improved performance demonstrated the University’s sustained focus on quality teaching, research activities and a steady rise in its global reputation.
KIIT, which was founded by educationist Dr Achyuta Samanta in 1997, has planned a series of initiatives to highlight its academic achievements during the year. Nine per cent of its total student strength comprises foreign students, coming from the Far East, African nations and Central Asian republics.
The rankings have also revealed that KIIT has fared much better than other legacy institutes not only in Odisha but in Eastern India as well. The Times World University Ranking is widely followed by academia including students in deciding their institute of choice for pursuing higher studies.
