Taking care of nails in numerous ways and a healthy diet is one of the components of strong and healthy nails.
Remember to keep nails clean and dry. We always use our hands to carry our lots of daily activities like eating, gardening, cleaning, carrying, etc. Germs and bacteria can easily find their way into our nails. These germs and bacteria may eventually end up in our mouths.
When washing your nails, however, avoid prolonged contact with water. Too much contact may lead to split nails. Some recommend using toothbrush with soap to clean away dirt and other unwanted dead skins. Most doctors recommend wearing cotton-lined rubber gloves when involved in daily activities. Remember, just like your skin, nails need moisturizing.
