My dear Madhavananda(1),
A funny news. Last night I saw Sashi Maharaj(2) in dream, as he was in Alambajar Math, clad in only a loin cloth. He was smiling. We chatted for long and then he asked for prasad. The attendant Gopal gave him a little sweet, cucumber and lemon. He looked at me and cried out. “This much only for me!” Then I offered him nice food items; but he said, he would eat them later. When he asked for it after a while, I found that somebody had already finished that. Meanwhile, some of the workers who were digging a pond, came sweating and asked for food. I thought that those people had eaten up the prasad; and I ran to fetch food for Sashi Mj. And then, I woke up. Last year, I had a similar dream of Swamiji asking for prasad.
Today I kept a photo of Sashi Mj in the shrine(3) and offered him the prasad. Now onwards, Sashi Mj’s photo will remain on the same platform in the shrine, for all times to come. I feel, wherever Sri Ramakrishna shrines are there, we must keep Sashi Mj’s photo. Nobody else has such close contact with Sri Ramakrishna shrine as Sashi Mj had.
Yours,
Akhandananda(4)
