How about reliving the best part of our growing years? No kidding, check out The Bar Stock Exhange’s Juhu outlet in Mumbai — designed by the extremely talented interior designer Shabnam Gupta — which would take you back on a journey to the joyful days in school.

School's Out

All those who think school days are the best days of our lives... put your hands up!

I am sure many like me would have a bank of memories of the years spent in school which are enough to pull at the heartstrings even today. They make you smile on rough days, make you laugh out loud at your silly mistakes, compel you to enjoy the small things in life... School was about learning, about teachers, lectures, labs, the PT lessons and of course, friendships. If you are wondering why I am reliving those golden days here, then the wonderful and nostalgia-filled space spread out on these pages is to be blamed. Here’s presenting, the Juhu arm of The Bar Stock Exchange (TBSE), which has been conceived to take you back to your good ole’ school day.

I have a strong hunch that partners Mihir Desai and Amit Singh of Corum, the hospitality company and brains behind brands like Big Bang Bar and Cafe, The Bar Stock Exchange and Soy Kitchen most definitely have had a blast at school to think of the “back to school” concept for their Juhu outlet. They approached their trusted design partner, interior designer Shabnam Gupta of the popular The Orange Lane studio in Mumbai, to create a nostalgia-filled ambience for their customers. After the initial brief, Mihir and Amit left the scene with ease as they had complete faith in Shabnam having collaborated with her for many of their projects, including the award-winning flagship TBSE at Kamala Mills, Mumbai.
