Monochrome Majesty
Better Interiors
|June 2019
A grey colour palette takes centre stage in an elegant 4-BHK apartment in Surat, designed by P&D Associates, which speaks of serenity and understated luxury.

At the outset grey might not be one’s primary choice of colour while planning a design scheme, but when effectively used with nuances in tone, hue and shade, it is a simple but effective tool with which to build a monochromatic scheme that allows for depth, focus, rhythm, vitality, cohesion and serenity. Grey can form the foundation of numerous looks for your interiors and allows you to be as subtle or as bold as you wish. The 4-BHK apartment we are about to delve into illustrates just this.
Created by interior designers Devang Patel and Pratik Siddhpura of Bharuch-based P&D Associates, this 2,647-square-foot space in Surat, was to be inhabited by the client, his wife and their 22-year old son. As P&D Associates has designed for the client earlier too, the trust on the designers were immense… hence the brief was very short and clear. “The only brief that was given to us was to recreate the word luxury in its truest sense in tandem with the needs of the family,” says Devang.
