Chocoholic Dreams
Better Interiors
|January 2018
La Folie Du Chocolat literally translates to the madness of chocolate, therefore, when artisan chocolatier–patissier chef Sanjana Patel met the branding and design team, Sharpener Inc headed by Hetal Ajmera and Bianca D’sa she wanted them to evoke this emotion not in the new packaging but also to the physical space — such that it would interact and engage with the intended audiences on a whole new level.

Situated in the heart of the art district of Mumbai – Kala Ghoda, at LFDC both art and chocolate collide to combine an end result that is fresh, trendy and luxurious. “LFDC was previously La Folie Patisserie run by chef Sanjana where she used to sell only her desserts and coffee. We now had the task of converting it into a premium chocolate boutique. All the chocolates and desserts crafted by the chef are keeping with different graphic shapes and lines in mind. Art being the concept, she has painted the chocolates with strong strokes and playfully splatters in vibrant colours. We took inspiration from the product itself,” inform the designers.
