The first meeting…
“I first saw Deepti on 17th December 2000, and I instantly felt something. ‘Dil mein baji ghanti’ was a very filmi phrase till then but that moment I knew she was the one for me.
“It was my first appearance as a celebrity at Kelkar College, Mumbai. I had just started doing Marathi television then. Deepti was the general secretary of the fest. The event was on 21st December, and on 25th December, I proposed to her! I didn’t waste any time contemplating; I went with my gut feeling.
