Dr George Biddlecombe shares with Spandana Birajdar the importance of maintaining good health.
A little bit about me…
I'm 71 years old and live in Glasgow, Scotland. I’m a retired academic in the field of musicology. I retired from my employment at the Royal Academy of Music, London, in 2008. I also taught at other colleges of London University. My wife is also retired. I'm now an Honorary Research Fellow of the Royal Academy of Music and I continue to research and publish.
My fitness mantra
During my childhood days, I played rugby, football, cricket and some tennis. I also took part in athletics as a runner. My favoured form of exercise is swimming. I have weekly swimming lessons and I try to swim three to four times a week. Occasionally, I also go to the gym and, with the guidance of an instructor, have developed a routine of exercises for this. I walk, though to a lesser extent.
