Tune Up For The Season Ahead

Finally, 2021 is here and a new musky season is just around the corner. Have you started making your plans for the upcoming fishing year? Many musky anglers have turned their thoughts to upcoming trips, tournaments, techniques and new gear for the coming season, researching possible new waters, revisiting old ones, checking fish data and restocking their lure box. We all want to be more successful, so let’s look at a few things that will help finetune the basics to become a better musky angler.

The musky fishermen who stand out with consistency year after year often share many characteristics that separate them from others, such as patience, persistence, competitiveness and an open mind, with no fear of expanding from the norm. Don’t let yourself get caught in a slump by fishing the same body of water, using the same lures in those same old spots time after time. Monotony can be an angler’s worst enemy. It’s very easy to get stuck in a rut. Be adventurous and don’t be afraid to try something new.
