This Tiger Musky Is My King

Many muskies over my lifetime have made for some great memories, but one catch that stands above the rest started with a successful release that happened back in 2003. As it turned out, this special tiger musky visited my boat several times from 2003-2006.
Back then I was overwhelmed with the desire to catch a tiger musky. Their beauty and the fact they don’t come easily strengthened my will to catch one. The fact that the southern waters where I learned to fish for muskies don’t offer hybrids just added to my curiosity. During those times nearly 20 years ago, giant tiger muskies were few and far between, though they are becoming more and more common throughout the Midwest musky range today.
