Set aside the familial tie, and sisters-in-law Saaksha Bhat and Kinnari Kamat are an unlikely pair. Former UK-based criminal lawyer Bhat, however, found herself agreeing with NIFT-graduate Kamat that the modern Indian woman was starved for choice when it came to edgy Indo-western clothing. Their Mumbai-based label Saaksha & Kinni was born in 2016, and it soon carved its niche amid the din of like-minded new-age designers.
