The international beauty mogul opens up about her successful brand and gives us a peek into her origin story
Let’s start from the beginning. How did Huda Beauty come into being?
Being a makeup artiste and working on clients, I was never satisfied with the style and quality of false lashes that were available in the market. To get the look I wanted, I would often end up stacking and customising the lashes myself to suit the client’s eye shape. I started receiving several inquiries about the lashes I had customised, so my sister Mona suggested I start my own line. The brand later launched at Sephora in Dubai Mall in February 2013.
