Angelina Jolie wasn’t herself. As she shot the final scenes for her upcoming fantasy film, Come Away, in mid-October, the frail and pale actress looked out of place amongst her cheerful cast and crew. “She remained aloof,” an insider tells OK!. “She just walked to her dressing room alone, without seemingly saying a word to anyone.” The silence continued once inside. “In the old days, her ex [Brad Pitt] would have been waiting somewhere close by with a congratulatory hug,” adds the insider, “but obviously, that doesn’t happen anymore.”

Much to Angie’s dismay. “Things have been hard for Angie. She’s never felt more alone and seems to be tortured by regret over leaving Brad in the first place,” the insider tells OK!, adding that the Wanted actress, 43, feels like her “tough love” plan backfired. “This whole thing was never meant to be permanent.” But now that Brad, 54, has cleaned up his act by getting sober and going to therapy, “he doesn’t want her back, and it’s hurting Angie big time,” adds the insider. “She can say this has been the worst year of her life.”
