<p>Last April, blond beauty Charlize Theron declared she&rsquo;s &ldquo;shockingly available,&rdquo; telling potential suitors to &ldquo;step up&rdquo; and ask her out &mdash; and, according to an insider, Channing Tatum has done just that! A month after the actor, 39, split from Jessie J, he reached out to the Bombshell star, claims the insider, and they&rsquo;ve been getting to know each other ever since. The pair first crossed paths in 2013, when they partnered up for a sizzling dance number at the Oscars (above, inset), and though the insider says &ldquo;they had major chemistry,&rdquo; it stayed platonic due to their respective relationships (the Magic Mike star was still married to Jenna Dewan, the mother of his daughter, Everly, 6, while Charlize, 44, was dating exfianc&eacute; Sean Penn). But by late 2019, they were both back on the market. &ldquo;Charlize was hoping to hear from him after things didn&rsquo;t work out with Jessie, but she sensed that he was intimated by her, as a lot of guys in Hollywood are,&rdquo; explains the insider. &ldquo;She let it be known through mutual pals that she was interested in him, then one day her phone rang and it was Channing. He asked her out &lsquo;for coffee&rsquo; and she didn&rsquo;t hesitate to say yes.&rdquo; Though Channing&rsquo;s rep denies it, the insider claims that in the past few weeks the unlikely duo have embarked on some &ldquo;low-key dates outside of L.A.,&rdquo; and although &ldquo;the attraction is intense,&rdquo; they&rsquo;re taking the budding romance day by day. But it&rsquo;s not just the physical allure that appeals to Charlize: &ldquo;She loves that he&rsquo;s a wonderful dad &mdash; any man she dates has to understand that her kids [Jackson, 8, and August, 4] come first,&rdquo; shares the insider. &ldquo;Channing may not be her usual type, but she&rsquo;s drawn to him.&rdquo;</p>
