Palace insiders spill on the british heir’s amazing (and surprisingly normal!) childhood

He may be the future king of England, but Prince William and Duchess Kate’s eldest son, Prince George, looked like any other 6-year-old as he eagerly tore into his gifts on Christmas morning. “George loves the holidays,” says a palace insider, noting that the tot always has a blast baking with his 93-year-old great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, and playing games with his young cousins. “It’s rare that so many family members are able to come together and let their guard down,” the insider continues. “George zips from one relative to another — he wants to make the most of it!”

Of course, all the presents don’t hurt either. Under the tree this year? Merch from his favorite soccer team, Chelsea, and a toy helicopter or two — both interests he picked up from William.
