As crowds gathered outside of London’s St. Mary’s Hospital on April 23 for the first glimpse of the newborn royal baby, Prince George and Princess Charlotte nearly stole the show reporting for big sibling duty. The adorable duo could barely contain their excitement as they joined Dad, Prince William, and Mom, Duchess Kate, in the Lindo Wing to meet their new little brother. According to a palace insider, George, 4, and Charlotte, 3, were positively giddy throughout their mother’s pregnancy and “were bubbling over with glee” when they found out they were finally going to meet their sibling. Adds the source, “Now that the baby is here, George and Charlotte are totally besotted with him.”

A WARM WELCOME

Needless to say, the newborn’s arrival at Kensington Palace’s Apartment 1A was a joyous one, with little hands clapping and feet stomping. “The children couldn’t sleep a wink after Kate left for the hospital early Monday morning,” dishes the source. And after briefly meeting their brother that afternoon, “they could not wait to welcome him home with drawings and cards.”
