As digitisation takes centre stage in the increasingly contactless economy of today, organisations have been forced to reimagine how they engage with customers. Over the last few months, organisations have been swift in deploying technology to offset the harsh blow of the pandemic and to better connect with their customers. Brick-and-mortar retailers pivoted to m-commerce, virtual healthcare consultations were made available, and the adoption of chatbots for customer service increased. However, introducing new applications or tools is not enough. Customers and even employees need guidance and training on how best to use them so that organisations can maximise returns on their technology investments.
